The more people use the trails, the better it is! In order for everyone to enjoy the trails as much as possible, there are some basic rules to follow. Here are some suggestions:

All Users – please…

  • Obey trail signs

  • Show courtesy to other trail users

  • Listen for others

  • Wear appropriate safety equipment

  • Remain in single file when trails are congested and in heavy use

  • Motorized vehicles are usually not permitted

  • Use proper waste receptacles

Walkers, Runners, and Rollerbladers – please…

  • Keep pets on a leash at all times

  • Clean-up after your pet

  • Keep your leashes short

  • Provide plenty of room to allow faster trail users to pass

  • Do not congregate or remain idle, keep moving

Bicyclists – please…

  • Yield to pedestrians at all times

  • Always provide an audible warning when passing

  • Pass on the left

  • Slow down – excessive speeds are dangerous to everyone

  • Use bike lights when riding at night

  • Wear a helmet

  • Ride single file

Be nice, be kind and enjoy the trails!
